Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik

Abstract

This study is motivated by the persistent issue of low student learning outcomes observed in classroom settings. The research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving student achievement compared to conventional teaching methods. PBL encourages active student engagement and creativity through collaborative group discussions and problem-solving activities. Utilizing a qualitative research approach, the study was conducted at SMK Darut Tauhid Bangil, involving Grade XI students as the primary subjects. The findings indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes following the implementation of the PBL model. Observational data revealed an average student score of 82.7, surpassing the minimum competency standard (KKM) of 75 for the majority of participants. Although some students scored below the benchmark, the PBL model was found to foster greater enthusiasm, motivation, and active participation in Islamic Education (PAI) learning. Interview results further support that PBL enhances students’ ability to engage in critical thinking and internalize learning materials more effectively compared to traditional lecture-based instruction, particularly when learning is contextualized within real-world problems
